Gilbertsville, PA – (May, 2006) Not Alone recently placed first in a national competition to select songs for a compilation CD for the Musselman Triathlon in the Finger Lakes Region of upstate New York. In fact, Not Alone’s track “Blinded” ran away with the competition pulling in 19.4% of the total votes. The next closest competitor received 7.8% of the votes.

The Musselman Triathlon is one of the nation’s premier half-iron and sprint-distance triathlons attracting more than 1200 athletes from around the world and the only triathlon in the nation to be coveted with Grand Prix Series designations on two different race distances by USA Triathlon.

Musselman officials produce the professionally mastered CD to inspire and motivate athletes during the competition. Each athlete and volunteer is also given a commemorative copy of the CD to take home. Officials narrowed-down all song entries for the compilation CD to their top 25 choices. Online voting at SonicBids.com included the athletes, volunteers, fans of the performers and others who determined the final 15 winners that will appear on the compilation.

An Olympic-style village is constructed on the campus of Hobart & William Smith Colleges where athletes and volunteers reside throughout the three day event. Not Alone was also among a select group of three artists invited to perform live to approximately 2,000 people in the village on the closing day of the three day race on July 16.

This compilation is the second for which “Blinded” was selected within a one month period preceded by the Millenium Music Conference CD. Additional information on the Musselman Triathlon can be found at www.musselmantri.com.
